Bangin' d-groups...
Discipleship groups are a huge part of The Refuge. We believe that when Jesus said to go and make disciples, He really meant it. So, we take seriously the Great Commission.
We’ve designed The Refuge around the D-groups. We believe discipleship is the strategy God has designed and implemented for the body of Christ to become the people He’s called us to be.
In a nutshell…D-groups meet once a week for about 2 hours. They are designed to provide an atmosphere for you to be authentic and real about what’s going on in your life. Discipleship groups are gender specific, about 3-7 in total size and are lead by adults from Woodland Hills Church. In previous semesters, D-groups have done Bible studies and read books like Messy Spirituality, The Student God Uses, I Really Want To Change…So, Help Me God, Who You Are When No One Is Looking, Experiencing God, and The Barbarian Way.
We start new D-groups each semester and close them off once they start up. If you’d like to be in a D-group this semester, come to The Refuge and sign up or email Dirk Helming at dirk@2911.org. We’ll have a sign up sheet at The Refuge on Wednesday January 16th.
If you’re interested in getting plugged into a d-group or have questions about them, email Dirk Helmling at dirk@2911.org.
